The Voices.. my god, the voices..

story: great, mystery: clever, Holmes: well done..and Watson: whomever made the decision to take Wastons voice in this direction, deserves to be on trial for assault to eardrums. it is truly absurd and ruins the enjoyment of the story. From the other reviews, I know I'm not alone. If his voice had have been on the preview I would have had a good laugh and kept looking. I paid for it so I pushed through, but I could never recommend until the ridiculous voice of Watson is corrected.

What A Ride

Outstanding stories , touching on some great stories and characters of the past, nice triggering of novels and stories that I have enjoyed during my life. Loved Them!!!!

Some very clever plots

So first the excellent. The stories were clever, there were a number of subtle details that made them feel more authentic, and the author clearly loves Holmes and Watson.

But the narrator just ruins it for me. I hate the way he gives voice to Watson, making him sound like mumbling through a mouth full of crackers. But that is only part of the reason I ranked the performance so low.

The second part is his frequent and repeated mispronunciation of words. For example, the word “skein” rhymes with “stain,” not with “clean.” This author is partial to that word, and I cringed every time I heard it.

Still and all, the stories make the reader ALMOST worth putting up with. Choose for yourself.
