3.5 Stars story, 4 Stars Overall, 5 Stars Performance

This is the first book I've listened to by Grady Sparks. It's not my normal read/listen so I was taking a chance on it. It started a little slow, but picked up quickly. The characters were always getting into trouble. I wasn't sure if it would have an ending. But it did with a opening for more stories in this world. A steamy, roll your eyes at times, MF, harem ?, with a bit of FF, MFF? I'm not sure if I got all that exactly right, but it's close. Lots of fighting action as well. Total grossness at times.

I'm pretty sure Melanie Hastings is a new to me narrator. She did an excellent job with male and female voices. It rolled through my head as a cartoon as she performed with emotion and enthusiasm. I kept listening because of her performance. Perfection.

the voice actress was really good. every character was distinct. the story never got boring. playful and humorous story

a very good start to a very good series. After all it's packed with pirates and pretty girls.

This book was super cute and pretty steamy. I was not expecting to enjoy this book so much. Melanie Hastings did an absolutely phenomenal job narrating this book. She is a new narrator to me. She did incredible with all of the different voices and accents.
