My New Favourite Book and Audiobook.

I didn't expect it to be this good, I won't lie. The story is really interesting, and I love seeing how Eric Linnaeus has changed, and hearing more about his backstory made me very sad because he has such a compelling backstory. I had a few good laughs here and there from how light-hearted the characters would interact after such serious moments. Charles is probably one of my favourite characters in the series and I hope others interested in this book will see this review and give it a listen. The story is great and so is the narrator. The narrator brings life into the characters and makes a clear distinction between who is voicing the chapter.

GIVE IT A LISTEN! It won't disappoint.

Dark

The performance is really good and works well with the story to keep you hooked. despite many many wtf moments that had me feeling a bit ill it was hard to stop listening. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's the darkest most morally messy book I've ever read and is not what I usually read but I really did enjoy it. Couldn't recommend to anyone I know though.

I loved this proformance and the way it was written

I really like how the narrator changed his voice and accent so much to match the characters. I also love how the author wrote the story in different perspectives, sometimes telling the same part of the story from two different people's point of view. It was a lovely story with a lovely presentation. I can't wait to listen to the next book.

Amazing performance and Story

It was very satisfying to see the narrator do different voices for every character. I love this story and its characters, so it’s wonderful to see the characters presented correctly (For what I imagined). Overall the experience a 5/5

Urban High Fantasy Done Right

I don’t often get into urban high fantasy novels like I did this one - the world is immediately immersive, the characters are likable and make you care about what happens to them. The world building is organic and doesn’t make you suffer through learning the rules in multiple chapters. It just… builds.

The voice actor for this particular book was chosen very well. There’s enough inflection between characters do denote a change without it being over the top. I hope he reads all of these novels. That alone will keep me coming back.

If you’re hoping for Romantasy, this set is a very, very well done slow burn. There’s bits and pieces in this novel to keep you guessing through the entirety of the tale, but nothing overt just yet. If you follow the artist and author, you’ll know that it gets there. I highly recommend this series. If you’re like me, you’ll read it while waiting for the other audiobooks to come out. It will keep you hooked book after book.
