Great Fiction

I enjoyed the stores. Stephen , King goes where other people fear to tread. He broaches what is usually taboo subject and he does it very well.
The AI narrator leaves a lot to be desired, and almost calls me to not finish the stories. However, I am glad I did.

no A.I.

stories are good, the A.I. is terrible. no feelings or emotions. there are too many good narrators out there that I will not listen to anything A.I narrated.

Unusual stories by King

I wrote review below before I knew this was not THE Stephen King but an author with same name and middle initial R. Duh! The review can stand though, I assume that is why this was a free choice on Audible.

There were six short stories by King included in this collection and most of them didn’t seem like traditional King. Although I did enjoy some of them. I did get used to the virtual voice narrator after a while but it was difficult to know when the story shifted characters when the characters’ voices didn’t change. This set of stories felt like a group of experimental ideas that were pulled together (sitting in one of King’s draft folder) to create a book for the sake of publishing another book. I did enjoy it from the standpoint of understanding King’s range. You’ll enjoy these if you like shocking horror, science fiction, and are just interested in seeing a different King.

Horrible narration

The stories were great overall, I would watch a movie of them, However the narration had me lost and I couldn’t really tell when the story line would change.

The first story was about necrophilia. I was not impressed.

I thought I’d give it a try, but it just wasn’t very good. I will definitely not be reading anymore of his books in the future and he’s definitely nothing like the other Stephen King.
