A high-profile murder has Sam and her team chasing an elusive killer....

Just back from their anniversary trip to Dewey Beach, there’s no slow roll back to work for the first couple as Sam is immediately thrust into the baffling murder of her friend and colleague, U.S. Attorney Tom Forrester, which has everyone on edge. In the midst of the hot new case, Sam’s got to put on her first lady hat for the Canadian Prime Minister and his wife, who are in town for the Cappuano administration’s first State Dinner. Once they get through that event, Sam and Nick will finally meet with Nick’s mother, who's asked for a chance to make things right with her son.

The story wasn't as exciting compared to the other books, but I still enjoyed it. However, narrator doesn't do it for me. Never has. She speaks in a very clipped tone and not much fluctuations vocally between the characters. Little hard to listen to. I love reading the books for myself but time doesn't permit it.

I love their chemistry, I love their love story. I hope Marie keep them coming. Been following the series from the beginning when Nick best friend the Senator was killed.
