The Christmas Orphan Boy

Elias Hartman is an unusual sort of man. The only son of one of the wealthiest ranchers in Wyoming, his interests tend toward books and poetry rather than cattle and poker. His oddness prevents him from finding a suitable wife—that, and the fact that young unmarried women are few and far between in Miles Gulch.

He writes to a matrimonial agency and is introduced to his perfect match: Cora Bennett is bookish, quiet, shy, and loves poetry. Their correspondence carries the spark of love both have been looking for—until, that is, they finally meet in person.

Suddenly, the connection they’ve built over the past months is on shaky ground. Is Cora really the sweet, gentle girl from her letters, or is she a cool, somewhat aloof maiden? Is Elias the gentlemanly poet Cora believed him to be, or is he a rough-hewn cowboy? Things become even more conflicted when a certain orphan boy captures both their hearts and runs havoc through their lives.

With Christmas around the corner and the snow piling up at the door, Cora must determine where her future truly lies: back in Philadelphia? Or here in the Wild West with the enigmatic Elias?
