Good but slow

Good story line but I wasn’t a fan of the female narrator. I had to listen on 1.5

Yes, this was very realistic. I don't like the parents ending. Their asses needed to suffer a little longer.

Worth the Wait

Her Exception was an emotional roller coaster from beginning to end. What starts as an enemies-to-lovers story quickly reveals years of heartbreak, manipulation, and misunderstandings that completely changed the course of two people’s lives. The chemistry between Mecca and Shalom never disappeared, even after fifteen years apart, and watching them slowly uncover the truth and find their way back to each other made for a satisfying read.

The story definitely has its share of drama. Meddling parents, toxic decisions, lies, and even a fake pregnancy kept the tension high and had me shaking my head more than once. Some of the characters were frustrating, but they also made the eventual resolution that much sweeter.

Despite all the chaos, this was ultimately a story about forgiveness, healing, and choosing love after unimaginable hurt. If you enjoy second-chance romances with plenty of angst, emotional tension, and a well-earned happily ever after, Her Exception is worth picking up.

Young Betrayal

Mecca and Shalom were in love and separated by lies and deceit. Fast forward to 15 years later and neither have gotten over the other. Their careers bring them together under bumpy circumstances as they navigate love and repair their hearts.

Unexpected

This was my first read from this author, and I have to say, I enjoyed her writing. Unlike my normal reads, this one was definitely more gritty with stronger language, but I still enjoyed it. I had an idea what was the cause of their anger towards each other but still enjoyed how wverything unfolded.
