Katie Allred’s video camera captures more than festive cheer when NHL hockey star Connor Greene skates into town.

With the Denver Glaciers’ reputation on thin ice, thanks to some not-so-jolly players, it’s up to Connor, their newly traded right-wing teammate, to bring back the cheer. But returning to his hometown of Mountain Springs just a week before Christmas brings more than just festive activities. It brings back memories of the teenage Connor he’d rather forget, the city he never wanted to live in again, and a chance encounter with Katie that he (literally) didn’t see coming.

Katie Allred is a spirited videographer with big dreams for her fledgling videography business. And she has a new client — the Denver Glaciers NHL team — who can make or break her business. If he shines as the star everyone sees, her footage will be gold. But if it spirals down like their disastrous first shoot, her business dreams could shatter like thin ice.

As Connor finds himself out of his depth in a sea of wrapping paper, mischievous kids, and a Santa Hat family competition that puts MasterChef to shame, he starts to see more in Katie than just her camera skills. But he’s not convinced he’s staying in Denver, and Katie fears falling for someone who just might be passing through.
