Will Holmes accept the challenge of recovering the plans for a radical new weapon so incredible that it alone will secure Britain’s primacy on the high seas for another generation? Or will the designs of the battleship HMS Dreadnought fall into enemy hands and lead to the most catastrophic war of all time? A war to end all wars! The brilliant engineer who designed the revolutionary battleship, James Ryder Carew, is so certain that the missing documents will guarantee a “world at war within a decade” that he pledges his services to Holmes, if the great detective will accept the desperate mission. Didn't really like the voice recording app that was used. Readjusting words made it harder to listen to.

the computer generated reader though a pleasant voice lacked emotion and every so often there was a gap in the words that broke up sentences. the story was great. lots of twists and turns. but prefer a real person reading the story.

flat tone of reader

Overall, I would say this is a very good book. The author did an excellent job of staying true to the characters, and the AI voice reader performed quite well, although there were a couple of stumbles. I look forward to reading the other books that the author has written about Sherlock Holmes.

overall a very good book

The virtual voice needs some work. it sounds to robotic, and it mispronounce certain words.
