Compelling story

Started off slow but found its grove. Great story with great voice actors hope they dramatize the rest of the series.

Not Great

Terribly generic character writing, very predictable plot twists, and a villain whose driving logic doesn't make sense when you stop to think about it. The level of plot armor that the main characters have makes it hard to give weight to any sense of pending danger. Most of the Foley effects were more distracting than immersive.

Boring villain

Good narration, but the villain is so much like a late 80’s early 90’s cocaine studio villain that it makes the story boring

Dramatized v narrator

Listened to the narrator version trilogy approx. 50 times at typically 2x to 2.25x speeds. This version has too much going on for fast speeds, but I may give it another go at some point..

HOOKED!

I love series so this was so perfect. I had NO idea there were books on this app that had the sound effects and characters with different voices. I LOVE THAT!! I have ADHD so sometimes it is hard to keep my attention. the dramatization of the books keep my attention and makes it feel like I am watching it in my head. I have ideas of what each person looks like. Please offer more books with the dramatization because it makes listening so much better! This book hands down one of the best mystery/thriller? I don't know what it would be classed as. but it makes me want to buy the physical copy just in case I need it. ssshhhh don't tell my husband 😘😘
