Nice story

Many coincidences in the story line. Very predictable. Overall a nice story but not very gripping.

Felt immersed!

Story invoked very personal feelings. I was invested in the story and finding the answers just as Charlie was.

Not quite a believable lead character, but a nicely woven story with a unique premise. Good prose. Good story pace.

A Great Book and Easy Enjoyable Listen

Wow! If you are into genealogy and how generational trauma/action and inaction is passed down through our bloodline, this is the novel for you. As several people have pointed out, the first few chapters are a little slow, but once Charli arrives in Costa Rica the story takes off. I simultaneously read and listened to the audio. Usually I listen at 1.5 speed (sometimes 1.7) but this book was like sitting in a hot bath on a cold winter day…I wanted to soak up every moment and slowed down the entire experience. I cannot think of anything this book is missing. The story tied up nicely at the end…the last few sentences could not have been more perfect. Thank you, Boo Walker for creating such a lovely book. I look forward to reading more from you.
