Phenomenal performance

This book will live with me forever. I don’t ever cry over a book but Jessie Hall had me in tears multiple times. Kid was so full of light and life to Han’s dark and death. The way he loved her was monumental. They had so many struggles and hurdles to overcome but he never wavered in his love for her. Kid wreaked me, several times during the story. He will stay with me. Joe Arden masterfully elevated this book into the masterpiece it is and he should be commended for it.

heart gripping

This story grabbed a hold of my heart gripped it tight and took me on a gut punching journey. So real and purposeful. The story, the narrators perfect element of enhancement.

Emotional

OMG I just wanna hug Kai and Johanna. The trauma they both went through only to find each other was fate. Joe Arden and CJ Bloom did such a fantastic job. I laughed and cried so much during this book. Thank you Jescie Hall for your amazing words.

PERFORMANCE and Storyline are standing O worthy

Wow….wow…..wow….
Okay, where to begin. This book just leaves you speechless. Head the trigger warnings for sure. This is a deeply heavy book. After you acknowledge that buckle up because it’s one hell of a ride!
JH….this is my 3rd book of her that Ive binged. And while it is heavy and dark with notes of lightness it’s not as dark (for me) as that sik love was. I mean, JH books are a Yes, more please for me. She is up there with some of the greats IMO!Amazing storyline. Deeply thought out, perfectly delivered and so gut wrenching at times you feel every word of it. Just wow…
PERFORMANCE…..oh hell-o Joe Arden. He does it again. Give this man a book and microphone. Then Sit back and enjoy the ride. Because how can you not!
CJ Bloom did amazing things for Han as well. This is my first listen with CJ but I will certainly look for her again.
And I will say the duet narration is the only way to for me now! More of that pretty please.

Great Story Even Better Narrators

If there is any audiobook (outside of The Ravenhood Series by Kate Stewart) that showcases Joe Arden’s depth and ability to convey the full spectrum of human emotion by voice alone, it is Kid by Jescie Hall. Jescie has a unique ability to break her characters, yet give them a path to their healing. Kid elevated my opinion of her skill as a writer.
