I’m closing my daughter’s bedroom door after putting her to bed and saying I love her one last time, when I hear the baby monitor crackle to life. The voice sends shockwaves to my core: ‘Your mother doesn’t love you.’

Easy to follow. Mostly from 1 person POV. Author does great at illustrating the sensory sensations of motherhood.

conclusion did not answer all questions. felt rushed. good twist though. it's always the endings that leave you unsatisfied
