In the final chapter of the Tucker series, David Johnson introduces us to a new family – a family in need of the kind of help that only Tucker and her family can give. Benjamin Trevathan, who has Asperger’s Syndrome, and a speech impediment, is a boy saddled with adult responsibilities in the midst of his dysfunctional home. He provides the majority of care for his younger siblings and for his mother who is sick with cancer. His stepfather stays gone for days and weeks on drinking binges, only to come home to take out his anger and frustration on his family. This family’s nomadic life brings them to the house that Ella used to live in beside Tucker. Tucker sets her sites on the evil stepfather, while April, who has returned home with her own complications to live with Tucker, identifies with Benjamin’s struggles with being teased and bullied and decides she can help save him from self-destructing. This is a story of simple people engaged in heroic acts, the kinds of acts that change people’s lives. Family Life Fiction Genre Fiction Sagas

I really like this series. Now on the last book in the series the use of virtual voice has ruined this book. I am sure the story is great, but I am spending most of the time trying to figure out which character is saying what. Virtual voice doesn't pronounce words correctly especially when Tucker and Smiley are "talking". It is horrible. I won't buy a book with virtual voice again.

I hated the fake narration. It totally ruined the whole book. I have listened to all the series and the best thing was hearing Tucker's accent. The book had the story but the narration was horrible.

I loved the Tucker series but this one was ruined.

Firstly, from the very beginning I was horrified that this wonderful story, the 5th in the series, was sullied by the narration which was faulty, distracting, and unworthy of this author’s contributions. I can’t believe it was approved in place of the stellar narrations of each and everyone of the previous 4 books. I will never listen to any AI narrated books in the future.

The story continues the saga of Tucker and her family as they share their meager possessions with a new family that moves in next door. It is inspiring, informative, and heartwarming as all of the earlier books have been. I only hope that David Johnson will continue more books in the series. We need his positive view of what human nature can deliver to us all.

The abomination of AI narration!

This A.I. narration was ABSOLUTELY painful to listen to! This Tucker series was a FANTASTIC story and the fact that

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE virtual read!!!

The AI reading missed the mark. There were words and phrases that the characters had in the previous 4 novels in the series that were lost by the AI. Mispronunciation of words. Unable to imitate stuttering, and more. Pretty much took a star away as I am sure I missed important pieces thanks to AI. Horrible.

The AI voice being unable to perform.
