Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
Troy Turner is a writer living in a secluded cabin in the Rocky Mountains. He believes his new home in the peaceful valley, miles away from the busy resort town of Hawthorn, is the perfect setting for his work. When two of Troy's closest friends join him on a hunting trip, they are caught in an unexpected snowstorm. Eager to reach the safety of the cabin, they are suddenly and viciously attacked by a terrifying creature they never believed existed.

Separated from his friends and badly injured, Troy tries to leave the mountain to seek help. The winter storm made the drive down the mountain treacherous, and his injuries made it even more difficult. He loses control of his Jeep on the snow-covered road and crashes. Troy is found unconscious by a snowplow driver and awakens days later in a hospital bed.

He recounts his unbelievable encounter on the mountain and desperately pleads for help for the friends he was forced to leave behind. However, the sheriff dismisses Troy's story as a sensationalized tale aimed at gaining publicity.

When a search team uncovers the body of one of Troy's friends and discovers that the other is missing, Troy becomes the prime suspect. How can he prove his innocence when the real killer is supposed to be a myth?

The story, plot, speed and characters are all decent but that Virtual Voice was horrible. It really took away from the story with its unnatural pauses and word structures. This book would undoubtedly have a much better rating if the publisher splurged on a good human narrator instead.

The Virtual Voice narration is distracting and horrible.

This was a really good story very realistic. I like the concept of PAC hunting Sasquatch I like the concept of unknown reasons for why they became hostile as opposed to passive. The only thing that I think could be better is if it was read by an actual person. AI just doesn’t know how to say certain things or pronounce certain things which kind of knocks you out of the moment over and over.

Great characters, real depth, combined with intelligent adversary’s

virtual voice is better, but, it's a robot, it's not that bad. I still enjoyed very much.

Great story, characters and flow. Good buildup and believable!

I really enjoyed this book. I always hesitate when I see “narrated by virtual voice”, but it’s not bad at all. I actually forgot it wasn’t a person narrating the book. So don’t let that stop you from listening.

Pleasantly surprised

Starts a little slow at first but I couldn’t stop listening after the first couple chapters. Great character development & the end had me on the edge of my seat.

Fantastic Ending
