I have to tell you. I have been through debilitating stress in my life ... There was a time I reached a point of being absolutely tapped out. Numb. And I went back to work ... and barely felt capable of doing anything.

When I heard the narrator describe what stress impairment looks like, it checked all the boxes. Lack of motivation, memory issues, totally wrecked sleep patterns, emotional regulation difficulties, fatigue, social withdrawal. Yep.

I'm not sure I would have been able to hear the teachings of this book during that time, because I just felt checked out altogether.

However, I wish I had had this kind of stuff before, tucked inside my toolbox. The wisdom on mindfulness, self-care, building a support system and the physical health stuff really resonated with me. The 14 Day journey to the "new you" at the end is a powerful one to take!
