Brad and Jeffery are having the night of their lives when tragedy strikes like a slaughtering hammer to a cow's skull. After a fatal meeting with the Butter Boys, they will never be the same.

Investigative reporter Veronica Hensley works on facts and instinct. After being taken off of her story following the strange abductions in the San Diego town of Hillcrest, she goes rogue, and what she finds is a bloody mess no one could have unraveled.

Mayor Muller will do anything to get his numbers up, especially in a reelection year. He'll kiss a baby, shake some hands, even agree to appear at a state chili cook off with that Fontaine guy who runs the Broth House soup kitchen. Ol' greasy Muller will do whatever it takes to win.

Loving Gibson and Essig!! Recommend 100%

I binge listened this one. So much fun and perfectly narrated by Drew Gibson - he's one of my favorites in this genre. Essig is a new author to me, and now I want to check out all his stuff.

*This is a great title if you don't want the grossest cannibal murder lit out there, or if you want a nice introduction to the more gruesome side of horror lit... or I'm just disgusting.

Dark and twisted

A cannibalism story like no other, but no worries, no one, even the homeless will ever go hungry again. This story pulls you in from start to finish, and only lets up on the carnage of culinary perfection occasionally. Dig in!

What a ride

A man hunts men, and makes soup for the needy.....what more could you ask for? Robert Essig knocked this one out of the park. This story is well thought out and never lets up.

Broth House is a restaurant, which is set up to provide delicious soup to the homeless and those in need.
Jeffrey and Bradley, decide to go out for the night and end up getting invited to an after party. They sure won’t be the same after this party!
Is there a connection to the missing men and this restaurant? Veronica, a reporter is determined to find answers!
This story is definitely a crazy one with cannibalism, torture, excitement and intensity! 🍲🩸🥄

Salad please.. No soup.

Well I never wanna eat soup that I didn’t make again. Perfectly depraved and comical at some points. Characters were great and plot was super interesting. Overall I enjoyed it!
