WE ALL HAVE SECRETS. BUT SOMETIMES SECRETS HAVE US.

The award-winning author of Anybody's Daughter is back with a gripping tale of passion, deceit, and murder. Miles Slade looks every bit the successful lawyer, but his swanky office and designer suits hide some desperate truths. A flailing law practice. Massive debt. A dying sister in need of expensive care.

Miles is willing to do just about anything—to cross any line—to raise the cash he urgently needs. Then he meets Nicole Paxton. Beautiful, sophisticated, and unlike any woman he’s ever known. Like Miles, Nicole has her own secrets. She ignites a passion in Miles so intense, he’s ready to give up his secret life. But before he’s able to do so, both he and Nicole become entangled in a new web of deception—one that involves murder. Amid the suspicions, lies, and overpowering desires, is there still a chance that love can conquer all?

I really enjoy this author. Loved the twist in this story. Just when you thought you knew...you didn't.

I’m definitely a Pamela fan! This was a good listen. I think RC Bray would’ve been better to narrate but still very good!

Good story!

The book in its entirety. It was suspenseful, romantic, full of passion and times of fear and danger.

Intriguing

The author accomplished setting up the all to familiar story of the spouse who gets left behind by the hard working other-half. The loniness, betrayal and webs of lies and deceit portrayed throughout the book kept me on the edge of my seat. The Author finds strength in the details of intrigue and suspense as she enables the reader to contemplate possibilities. Regrettably, I wished some characters would have been further developed, only to prolong the story. I was shocked however, by the twist at the end of the book- I didn't see that coming! My bookclub has read several of the Author's, Pamela Samuels Young, books and she did not let me down.
