Wow

Oh this was good. Like, good good GOOD. Hostile takeovers, tragic backstory, office … steam, and one heck of a cliffy. Sign. Me. Up. Holden and Rowen are perfection together, even when it’s battling against each other. A definite recommend. Narration was excellent !

A mixed read for me

📚 Twisted Knight follows Holden, back in town to make the Rothschild and Williams families pay for what they did to his brother. His return puts him face-to-face with Rowan, the overlooked sister determined to finally step out of the shadows and claim her place in the family business.

👨‍👧 Holden’s backstory and his thirst for justice were the strongest part of the book. His pain and obsession felt real, and I wanted him to finally get closure. Rowan, on the other hand, was harder to connect with. She came off as entitled and inconsistent—sometimes smart and capable, other times dramatic, self-centered and naive.

💞 The romance leaned heavily on lust and angst. While the chemistry was there, it was hard to root for them as a couple when there were major underlying trust issues that made their connection completely unstable.

✍️ The grandmother’s will plotline felt outdated and unrealistic in a modern setting, which pulled me out of the story, but the audiobook narration was engaging even when the drama dragged.

🌟 Overall, this was a mixed read for me. Too much time spent on business drama and Rowan’s hemming and hawing overshadowed the romance and revenge elements I wanted more of. That said, Holden’s journey and the promise of justice are enough to make me curious about what happens next. A solid 3 stars.

Cliffhanger!

I ate this book up! This is a revenge plot, enemies to lovers, workplace romance with twists and turns. There are some characters I loved to hate (looking at you Chad and Rhett!), and some I rooted for. The two main characters, Holden and Rowan, had great chemistry and good banter. The book ended on a cliffhanger….so that is my only complaint. Now I have to wait until book 2 to see what happens next! 😩

Addictive and Intense!

This is an absolute page-turner! This billionaire workplace romance has all the right tropes—enemies-to-lovers, secret relationships, and a tortured hero bent on revenge. The chemistry between Holden and Rowan is electric, and the tension kept me hooked throughout.
I hated Rhett and Chad as much as they both did…

Chapter 51 was a highlight: Rowan is a queen in disguise and that chapter was brilliant!

The cliffhanger ending left me craving more! If you love high-stakes romance with twist and turn, a damaged MMC and a fierce FMC, this story won’t disappoint. I can’t wait for the second book.

First book is fantastic

Patrick Zeller and Victoria Connelly were terrific narrators for this first book of the series. Holden has a lot of ulterior motives in buying this family company. It's taken many years to get to this point. Rowan believes Holden has her best interests in mind. You know what they say about a woman scorned? I can't wait for the next installment. I hope it comes soon!
