John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Let us identify what the TRUTH is according to the Bible
Psalms 119:142 Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Christ was telling those who BELIEVED in Him that they will know the Law, and it will make them free from SIN.
The Holy Spirit is how those who BELIEVED on Christ learn the Law, after Christ departed. What did you think the Holy Ghost taught?
John 14: 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Christ taught the Doctrine of His Father, and I also do the same. The Holy Ghost teaches you ALL things related to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the FAITH in Christ.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Those who did not BELIEVE on Christ did not receive the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem. They were in astonishment at what was occurring. This book is written to give Hebrews an understand of the Doctrine of Christ and what the Holy Spirit Teaches.
