Karen Sorenson's transition from sheriff's deputy to charter pilot is complete. Long hours of study, of practice and the rigors of demonstrating her skills to demanding examiners has paid off. She flies families to Disney World, honeymooners to the Bahamas and Key West. It's everything she hoped it to be.
Another pilot attracts her attention in a small airport lounge, introducing her to the hidden world of the charter pirate. Puzzled, then taken aback by the man's candor, at her next opportunity she places a call to the FAA. She just wants to report the guy, let someone know what he is up to.
She does not know that what he is up to will pull her into an interstate investigation of kidnapping, smuggling and intrigue involving an FBI agent she once considered a nemesis. It isn't long before she is in way over her head...
