The Atlanta Paramount Theatre, which opened as the Howard in 1920, was perhaps the finest example of Palladian architecture ever adapted as a motion picture theatre. Originally conceived by Troup Howard and designed primarily by architect Philip Trammell Shutze, the theatre was raised in 1960. But its facade lives on in a gracious Palazzo-styled residence in Moultrie, Georgia.
