As good as Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn & Chee

...And much better than Anne Hillerman, who is trying to continue his legacy. Excellent use of Navajo culture and geography to draw the reader deeper into the story. Great characters and a very good mystery. And a very good narrator.

And, it's in new Mexico, desert that I love.

Past and present

I liked the storyline and how it went back and forth from the past and present bringing the two together.

Continuing flow

The characters continue to grow in depth and strength. The story line flows enjoyably from past to present and is quite entertaining. Can’t wait for the next to come out.

I like hearing history and traditions respected along with the struggles and challenges experienced as well as the successes.
