This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.
From USA Today bestselling author, Julie Mulhern, comes a short worthy of the Country Club Murders name. For Aggie DeLucci, former assistant private investigator and current housekeeper extraordinaire, 1975 is turning out to be a banner year. There’s a new man her life, Mac. He makes her laugh, takes her dancing, and makes a helluva salami sandwich. When Mac is accused of theft, it’s up to Aggie to clear his name. She’ll have to polish her slightly tarnished investigative kills and tame her fears (and her hair) to catch the real thief. If this is your first trip to 70s Kansas City, the entire series awaits you. This is not a new short story in the series. The story is taken from one of the books.
I did not care for the AI generated voice. The tempo was off.

The computer generated voice is monotone and this distracted from the story. Please use a human.

I liked the fact that the story provides background on Aggie & Mack

What is the point of using virtual voice, it ruined the story and the experience.

Virtual voice is bad

I've loved all of the previous books in this series, which is why I stuck with this one until the end. If it had been longer, I don't think I could've handled the creepy robot voice. It was the absolute worst voice performance of any audio book I've listened to (at well over 400 and counting).

Great story, but awful robotic voice performance.

The virtual narration sounded mechanical, with lack of inflection, which I had to apply. Distracting and annoying. Ruined what could and should have been an enjoyable read. Definitely not a fan of virtual narration!

Great story!
