After serving in the Army, Barger founded the Oakland, California Chapter of the Hells Angels (HA) in 1957 and would be a HA for life as the face of this infamous one percenter outlaw motorcycle gang (OMG). Barger and other members of the Hells Angels would be convicted of serious felonies including drug trafficking, weapons violations, use of explosives with intent to commit murder and other egregious charges.
