Frank Berg, fresh out of sick bay, finds that he’s not done with the war. In fact, he will be given command of a British lend-lease destroyer escort. His assignment is to capture one of the new coding devices developed by the Germans, named Omega. With a mixed crew of British and American sailors and an executive officer who was in command of the DE prior to Berg’s assignment, Berg is none too confident that he can pull off the retrieval of an Omega.
