A Texas summer. A buried town. And a whisper from the past that won’t stay quiet.

Tobi Sloan thought the worst was behind her. Rescued from the hands of kidnappers and trying to rebuild her life in the quiet town of Minera Springs, she's finally finding peace—thanks to the unwavering love of her grandparents, the healing power of a garden, and the steady presence of Riley, the boy who once stole her heart.

But when a desperate call from her estranged mother sends Tobi and her best friend on a cross-country road trip, long-buried family secrets begin to surface—some darker than she ever imagined. And back home, a mutilated body hanging from a tree signals that something is deeply wrong in their small town. Whispers of an old legend—the Witches of Pickwick—resurface, hinting that what was once dismissed as folklore may be a warning.

As the summer heat intensifies, so does the danger. Tobi, Riley, and those they love will confront the line between truth and myth, grief and healing, loyalty and survival.

Set against the backdrop of rural Texas in 1991, Summer’s Coven is a heart-wrenching and atmospheric thriller that explores trauma, resilience, and the ghosts we carry. For fans of Sharp Objects, Before We Were Strangers, and Where the Crawdads Sing, this suspenseful coming-of-age mystery delivers emotion, grit, and a haunting sense of place.

Told in dual POV, Summer’s Coven blends psychological suspense, small-town secrets, and deeply human stakes—perfect for readers who crave mystery layered with emotional depth.

the robotic reading kinda ruined it but the story is good so I didn't want to give a negative review.

I hated virtual voice.

I really enjoyed the story but it was a very hard listen because of the AI voice. no emotion, and it’s impossible to figure out which character is talking.

Virtual voice is terrible! story is great
