This edition is a 21st-century update of Sheldon’s classic. I have kept his core message, deep challenge to authentic discipleship, and passionate call to Christlike living intact while adapting the story, characters, and language for today’s world. The heart of the book—asking what Jesus would do in every decision we face—is just as needed now as it was in Sheldon’s day.

Wherever possible, I have maintained Sheldon’s earnest and compelling style. However, chapter titles and much of the content have been rewritten to reflect how a believer living in the twenty-first century would apply this life-changing question.

My prayer is that this updated edition will stir up a new generation of Christians to ask, “What would Jesus do?” in their own day and in their own way.
