This title uses virtual voice narration

Virtual voice is computer-generated narration for audiobooks.

After discovering her husband’s infidelity, elite attorney Lyric Ward is left reeling. Humiliated. Destroyed. But Lyric doesn’t shatter quietly—she burns for justice. And there’s only one man ruthless enough to deliver it.

Griffin Rhodes.

Cold. Bold. Unrelenting.

A high-powered divorce lawyer with a reputation for winning—and no room for mercy.

Their partnership begins with strategy. Professional. Clinical. Controlled.

But beneath the surface simmers a dangerous chemistry neither of them can deny.

What starts in the courtroom turns into something far darker in the shadows—an all-consuming affair built on secrets, power plays, and a possessive hunger that knows no limits. But Griffin is hiding something. Something that could ruin everything.

And Lyric?

She has enemies who want her silenced—permanently.

Love is a battlefield.

Lust is a weapon.

And the only rule left… is his.

I didn't like Lyric. 😬 She came across as selfish. IMO, she used Mateo. I wish the author had used a paragraph or so to let us know what happened with her ex-husband and Janet. At first, I thought this was a clean romance, but the 🔥 came through towards the end. The writing was solid, though. I'd read/listened to other books by this author.

I'm never a fan of virtual voice, but the story and characters draw you into the world of law... WOW

Just WOW!!!

While the virtual narration was off-putting, the story was rich and meaningful. I plan to read it on kindle or actual paperback (if available).

Deeply Woman-Affirming Story

oh how I wish this book was any good the concept was good. the execution was okay although the computer generated audiobook currently being released on all black books is starting to drive me a little crazy. it seems that the author of this book was trying to rush out a story too many jumps too many unanswered questions. what happened to Mateo? what happened to the ex? what happened to janet? it just seems the book left too many questions. I wish I could say it was all the narration but unfortunately it wasn't.

could have been good
