Claire thought she knew who she was—until a stranger began to take her life piece by piece.

What started as a series of subtle disturbances—a missing scarf, a misplaced photograph—soon spirals into a nightmare Claire can’t escape. Lisette, a woman with an uncanny resemblance to Claire, isn’t just trying to manipulate her life—she’s trying to replace her entirely. As Lisette’s presence grows more invasive, Claire finds herself unraveling, questioning her own sanity as the lines between reality and paranoia blur.

But Lisette isn’t just any intruder. She knows things no stranger should, digging into the darkest corners of Claire’s past to weaponize her fears and insecurities. When even those closest to her, including her husband Mark, can’t be trusted, Claire must face the horrifying truth: Lisette isn’t here by chance, and she won’t stop until Claire’s identity—and her life—are erased.

In this gripping psychological thriller, Claire must confront the shadow that threatens to consume her, but as Lisette’s web tightens, the question remains: how do you fight someone who knows your every move?

Sometimes, the greatest danger isn’t losing yourself—it’s being replaced entirely.

The narration is awful and the story is not much better. I am happy it was free otherwise I would be irritated. Best to pass this one by.

This is narrated by virtual voice and it is very poorly done.

Story was ok - took a bit to get into and the end was still just ok. Nothing happens that you won’t see coming.

It was OK

I didn’t read the reviews before listening to the book and my only complaint is it leaves you just assuming. The climax and the ending both leave the story without the full sense of satisfaction the story leads up to. It seems obvious but the writer is suggesting, but to mention it is a complete spoiler.

Good story but vague climax
