This is the story of a young woman who leaves home under duress and joins the Union Army in Baltimore, Maryland during the American Civil War. Pretending to be a male soldier, she fights at the Battle of Gettysburg, is later discovered to be a woman, and is discharged. She is then requested by military leadership to become a spy in the Confederate Capital of Richmond. Her life path is changed forever by the challenges she faces during the war.
