OAF – A Heartfelt, Suspenseful Tale of Loyalty, Loss, and the Unknown

Little Randal Daniels knows life isn’t easy. Growing up in the quiet farm town of Franklin with his widowed mother and two brothers, he’s no stranger to hardship. If not for the kindness of the Tetleys—his late father’s closest friends and the wealthiest couple in town—his family might not have survived at all.

But generosity breeds resentment, and when a vicious rumor spreads through Franklin during a devastating drought, jealousy turns to anger, and anger turns to something far more dangerous. As tensions rise and shadows creep closer to the Tetley farm, it seems that nothing—not even their wealth—can protect them from what’s coming.

Then, Oaf arrives.

Towering, otherworldly, and fiercely loyal, the Tetleys’ mysterious new guard dog isn’t just big—he’s impossibly big. And when the danger reaches its peak, Randal, the Tetleys, and the entire town of Franklin will learn that Oaf is far more than he seems.

A sweeping tale of survival, courage, and the unbreakable bond between humans and the creatures who protect them, Oaf is perfect for fans of Stranger Things, The Iron Giant, and classic small-town mystery with a supernatural twist.

I have really enjoyed getting to know Samuel Brower's books. Oaf is a little different than the other books by him that I've read. That just goes to demonstrate his talent and imagination as a writer. Oaf is a wonderful story. Unfortunately, I can't tell you hardly anything, except that it's about a very good and very large dog, without giving the story away. So, I'll just recommend that you go read it for yourself.

A good story about a good dog
