The Only Man Who Walked Both Sides and Lived to Tell the Tale.

In the bloody 1990s, the Boston underworld was a powder keg. On one side: the Patriarca Crime Family. On the other: the infamous Winter Hill Gang.

In the middle stood Mark Silverman.
Rogue Mobster is the raw, firsthand account of a man who got inside the Italian mafia and Winter Hill Gang

Mark Silverman was the ultimate earner—the man who could bridge two warring families because he was too valuable to lose.—he navigated the treacherous divide between the Italian Mafia and the Irish Mob during their most violent era. While the FBI was fumbling and bosses were falling, Silverman was in the room, at the table, and on the streets.

Inside this explosive memoir, you’ll discover:
  • The Unfiltered Truth: What it was really like to work for the Patriarcas while maintaining ties to the Winter Hill Gang.
  • Survival Tactics: How a mobster managed to stay alive—and out of prison—while everyone around him was being fitted for a casket or a jumpsuit.
  • The 1990s Mob War: A gritty, street-level view of the hits, the heists, and the high-stakes games that broke the New England Mafia.
For fans of Goodfellas, Black Mass, and The Departed, this isn't a story written by a journalist looking in—it’s the story of a man who was in.

Great story, AI voice made it dull. Also, some of the story line was disorganized. But still a good listen.

Great story

Local history of mafia, their inner rules and actions. Details interesting regarding families broken down by cities and states. Includes FBI investigations and their involvement. Strong narrative story. Highly recommend!

The reader keeps repeating the lines, had to stop listening. The story is all over the place.

Terrible Listen

With the unique insight of a Wikipedia page and less of a command of the English language than a romance novel, this reads like you told an AI model to lie to you about who it knows and what it did. It’s as much of a memoir as the Naked Gun is a Police Documentary. I’d rather use a credit on a narrated dictionary than this book. Don’t do it.

Bizarrely Unremarkable
