Lazy writing trying to make it a twist ending. You are allowed to leave cozy mysteries predictable, that’s what they are known for.

The AI voice was very robotic. It was a great story overall though. Good small town mystery.

Good story, bad narration.

I did not like virtual voice narrating. You couldn't tell who was speaking at any given time. The inflections in some sentences were inappropriate - clearly the virtual voice couldn't decide when to be excited or surprised.

The virtual voice took quite a lot from the listening experience for this story. For years I have been using text to speech readers so I am used to this kjnd of narration. But this one was quite bad.
