She changed her name and appearance, kept friends to a minimum, and now lives a quiet life in hopes of eluding her dangerous ex.

When Charlie is released early, Lizzy knows it’s time to up her game, enrolling in a women’s self-defense class. “This time will be different,” Lizzy vows. “This time, I’ll be ready.”

Jiu-Jitsu isn’t Lizzy’s only defensive weapon. She also has Rae who can smell and hear things at a level that Lizzy cannot. Will Rae be able to warn Lizzy of the impending danger? Will Lizzy understand in time or will Rae’s warnings go unheeded?
