A Dark Romance

I didn’t know what I was walking into that night. A friend’s birthday, a high-end club, and there he was—a shadow in the corner, all piercing eyes and lethal charisma. I knew Marcus was trouble the moment he looked my way, but something in his gaze was calling me to him, despite the warning etched into every line of his face.

He told me to stay away. Told me his world was too dark, that I was too good for him. But even then, I could feel it: a pull that went deeper than reason, tethering me to the danger he carried. Soon, it wasn’t enough to just watch from the sidelines—I wanted to know what lay beyond that hardened exterior, no matter the cost.

And that cost just might be my life.

Awful

It’s a short story but the audiobook was just horrible. The narrator (virtual) was bad. I wouldn’t waste my time on this one.

Interesting novella

Extremely heavy on the spice and violent content that it made up most of the reading. The theme was a great premise and if it had been less spicy, less violent with more banter and heat, it would have been a great read. Writing was good.

Virtual voice is horrible!

Don’t waste your time with anything virtual voice. It’s just awful. It’s like a toaster reading to you
