A sweet sapphic romance takes a deadly dark turn in this sharp-as-a-knife novella with the slow build menace of Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber—from a New York Times-bestselling author hailed by Chuck Wendig as "a storyteller working at the top of her class."

Rosemary meets Ash at the farmers' market. Ash—precise, pretty, and practically perfect—sells bars of soap in delicate pastel colors, sprinkle-spackled cupcakes stacked on scalloped stands, beeswax candles, jelly jars of honey, and glossy green plants.

Ro has never felt this way about another woman. With Ash, she wants to be her and have her in equal measure. But as her obsession with Ash consumes her, she may find she's not the one doing the devouring . . .

Told in lush, delectable prose, this is a deliciously dark tale of passion taking an unsavory turn . . .

Contains mature themes.

I spent this whole book being like "well that is a red flag, but..."
And the book was like "yeah they frigging were!”

Loved it.

It’s somewhat predictable but not completely. It starts a bit slow but pay attention. Overall it’s worth the read.

Wait for the Twist

There is nothing wrong with this novel it's just a bit meh. It's fun and well written, but the story is meh. The idea should be fun, the characters should be fun, I want it to be fun, but it's meh. if you want a more popcorn book with a farmers market Sapphic vibe this is great.

beautifully balanced the sapphic romance and the slow almost silent creeping horror. I went in know this book had something to do with cannibalism but I know had I not known and been trying to identity just when it would come up I would have been even more taken off guard. beautifully written, two very distinct characters with their own voice and personality. amazing work. side note the audio book actor did an amazing job keeping the girls voices recognizable when speaking. lovely work all around

the horror almost sneaks up on you

This book seemed to have a slow burn but constantly gave me an anxiety about what could go wrong. The description is great and the story seemed to be over far too soon. It's the ending you won't see coming.

Slow but thrilling
