Exciting, Clean Mystery

I loved the exciting story. It's not saccharine sweet like some cozies. I'm waiting for the next book to come to audiobook!

Looking to Escape

When Ivy Kelly is trying to escape her ex husband, she meets Aggie on her bys and Aggie convicts Ivy to go to Balefire. Bay than the mystery really starts.

Is he gone?

I loved this book. The setting and the characters were very well written. I love the small town atmosphere.

I wanted to like this more than I did, but . . .

Decent story, but the predictability, the excessive food snobbery, the overuse of cutesy "pretend" swear words, and most of all, the virtual voice made this my worst audiobook experience to date. Regarding the virtual voice, the technology that even makes this possible is impressive, and it was tolerable most of the time. However, the awkward pauses, mispronunciations, and robotic phrasing and inflection happened too often to not be distracting.
