“I love reading Jessica R. Patch's books! She does such a wonderful job putting twists and turns in this story, you never really know who the bad guy is until the very end.” –Amazon reviewer on Texas Cold Case Threat

Crime Scene Conspiracy

Too many mysterious deaths. Not enough clues.

A string of staged deaths forces Texas Ranger Emily O’Connell on a covert mission to investigate a governor’s connection to the deceased women. She doesn’t trust anyone—including crime scene cleaner Stone Spencer. But when Emily’s questioning makes her the serial killer’s next target, she must turn to ex-ranger Stone for help. With threats at every turn, outrunning a merciless villain could be the last thing they do.

Cold Case Target
Caught in a serial killer’s deadly game with nowhere to turn…

Interrupting an attempted murder—and leaving with incriminating evidence—makes Sissy Spencer a serial killer’s next target. With a flash drive in her possession containing disturbing proof of multiple murders, Sissy has no choice but to trust her ex-boyfriend, private investigator Beau Brighton, to keep her safe. But can they unravel the clues and track down a killer…before he catches them first?

Deadly Christmas Inheritance
This holiday, an unexpected gift could be lethal.

Returning to her employer’s estate, caretaker Teegan Albright discovers the elderly woman dead—next to her own twin sister’s body. And when the masked killer appears and turns his knife toward her, Teegan finds a surprising ally and protector in Rhode Spencer—crime scene cleaner, private investigator…and the unknowing father of her two-year-old twins. After she inherits the rich lady’s fortune and the killer strikes again, all signs point to Teegan as the original target. Now with a greedy family topping the suspect list, can the pair unwrap a murderer’s identity…before Christmas turns deadly?

From the very start this is a fast fun and intriguing storyline! The characters are humble and God’s grace is a central theme. It is a good reminder that He is a God of second chances. Full of hope and sweet and tender moments, This is a story you won’t want to put down until the surprising finish! And the reader for the audible version is excellent. So good at all of the voices, female and male.

Non stop suspense from the very start. A really fun and intriguing storyline!

The narrator was fine. The torture I mean I’d the agony of listening to plots and stories with potential being butchered by a hack. For me the worst were the frequency of mixed metaphors and the skewed way that alcoholism is depicted. With so many addicts available everywhere, there’s no excuse for this writer not to do her research among drug & alcohol counselors, clients and those who have been through a 12-step program. Someone would have been happy to help.

Then there is the need to turn a simple sentence into a clever phrase without the benefit of artistry with the English language.

It’s very clean. No bad language even when a mild expletive would make sense for emphasis. You can almost hear the editing.

There is very little crime scene cleaning, despite the title. It’s more of a family dynamics set of stories than murder mysteries.

Some verisimilitude to the lives of Protestants or evangelicals makes it approachable for Christians but it was a bit preachy in some places.

Torture for listeners
