Layered Plot Mystery

A maybe cursed object horror with sly comedy and some clever twists; flavored more like a twisty story ride than atmospheric or visceral. An unassuming object here is fun and feels unique but sometimes creates an oddity to things. It belabors the object a bit, which seems to be everywhere everywhere ranging from a creepy insidiousness that chills to a placements in the text that feel over the top. Plot waffles well between a psychological paranoia and supernatural suspense. Narratively it takes some chances that pay off in the end, they largely work especially well for a small scale novella offering some unpredictability. There is enough hint of ambiguity, or range in premise, to feel satisfying but still multilayered..

Haunted House Tale

I loved listening to this spooky haunted house story!
Holly manages to fit many twists in two short hours that I didn’t see coming.
The ending to this was so perfect to me.

Ghastly happenings, a must short read!

Great short read. Within two short hours the twist and turns were many. I loved the dimensions in this book. While reading you felt an obvious supernatural presence while being hit by the reality of both mental illness and crime. What a surprise I didn't see coming. The ending keeps your thinking of the madness within the pages. A MUST READ!

Suspense and a Paranormal Mystery

Riley House is a book filled with mystery, suspense, and supernatural happenings. I quickly became invested in the story as it started to play out as more and more details came out about the Riley House and its former occupants. I could not stop listening as the book is very detailed and well written with amazing characters. I love the twists that the author adds that as the reader or listener, you won't see coming, but it will leave you saying "what" and "wow" I didn't see that coming. You will not be disappointed don't let the size of the book fool you the author packs a punch in such a short read. The narrator did a phenomenal job bringing the story to life with his voices. I received this book for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review here of my own free will.
