A terrible wife...

Sarah Westfield is unhappily married to perfect husband Nick. Handsome, devoted and kind, he should be the ideal man for her, but Sarah knows their marriage is the biggest mistake she’s ever made…and she wants out.

But then Nick offers her one last chance to make their marriage work – a baby.

Sarah is horrified – a baby would tie herself to this man forever…wouldn’t it? Or could it be exactly what she needs?

So Sarah agrees.

A terrible mother?

When the baby arrives, Sarah struggles with motherhood and her resentment towards Nick only grows. Sarah feels more trapped than ever, but she loves her precious daughter...doesn’t she?

And then baby Kaya goes missing...

And everything Sarah has ever believed in comes crashing down around her...

It was predictable, until the end which had a twisted ending. Thinking Sarah was the guilty one with Kia kidnapping. No idea it was Nick her husband that was responsible for the kidnapping.

How predictable

What took me so long to grab this gem? Again, a devious collaboration! A favorite duet of mine, Valerie Keogh and Rose Robinson, combine their brilliant skills to bring us another deviously outstanding thriller. A gripping psychological thriller with complexellent characters, suspenseful plot twists and intricate storytelling, “The Mother” is worth a cherished credit, however, I chose to pay the $12. Keogh's writing is engaging and suspenseful, making it hard to put the book down. Robinson's narration is exquisite, bringing characters to life with precise dialects and emotional depth, keeping my attention throughout. How does she do it? Pure genius! The story follows Sarah Westfield, a complicated and flawed woman, as she navigates a troubled marriage and motherhood. As her life spirals out of control, the plot thickens with unexpected surprises. With its twisty ending and suspenseful atmosphere, "The Mother" is a thrilling ride that kept me guessing, complete with a jaw-dropping shocker of an ending I never saw coming. I can’t recommend “The Mother” enough. Highly recommended and I’m once again shrieking from the rooftop, “Epic, I say! EPIC! EPIC! EPIC!”

it is amazing how an intense dislike of Sarah changed as the twists and turns of the plot revealed themselves. this story moves a little to slow but is excellent in the end. it's is impossible to guess the ending.

I know it’s just a book but what a stupid plot. You marry a guy you don’t wanna marry ,you have a kid you don’t wanna have and then you wonder why you don’t like the kid. Incredibly Stupid. The main character was so unlikable if I could reach through the phone and punch her I would have. I kept listening because I do like the authors way of moving a story along, but she made the character so unlikable I couldn’t enjoy it

Really?
