I listened to all 3 books in 4 days and enjoy it every minute.
great story and author does a good job at not getting sucked into cheezy story line tropes. Story flows smoothly. I'd like to point out the author throws good realistic curveballs of cause and effect to situations that I find refreshing. I bet this author is very well read with this genre and has a huge library himself.

well written and performed.

I found this book and the last two vary entertaining, all the planning and his cutthroat family just leaves me on the edge of my seat

Yet another fantastic entry for this series. The game elements feel natural, and it almost feels as if we’re going through levels in an RPG. Now onto book 4!

love the series but can't stand some of the side characters. his girlfriend picks him because he's the hero then betrayed him anytime he does anything heroic. Becomes tedious very quickly.

he's got these training skills as his main class, but using them so rarely on so few people that they are completely wasted.

One of the side characters explains that his actions have destabilized the church that apparently is the primary force in the world taking care of the poor and the sick and the less privileged. She explains that the church is on its last legs and about to collapse. He opts to do a single time tiny donation of a few spare weapons, he clearly should have invested and made a partnership. painful that he throws money at it and forgets. On scale he is working on, it was pathetic.

there's a lot of talk about the power of friendship and his whole class is oriented around it, but he puts all his focus on his workouts. he scales up in his own city when he should be scaling up on a worldwide scope.
