Book & Audio Review

Ahhh so happy i picked this one up! Wells Ranch Book one packed a punch. So definitely wanna check your triggers before picking this one up! I loved Cecily and Austin, Aus may have been a brooding grumpy a-hole when we first met him but watching Cecily prove him wrong at every turn was so worth it. This book was also super HOTT, Aus was filthy and i loved listening to every second of it. There was a fair amount of trauma healing in this one and I enjoy a good love after divorce romance. Highly Recommend this one and the Audio Narrated by Angelina Rocca and Jack Calihan. Jack literally brought Aus’s gruff demeanor to life and it was sexy as hell!

Entertaining, but Lacked Depth

Not a big romance genre reader, but the cowboy + city girl setup gave Yellowstone vibes I enjoyed. The second half was so spicy and predictable. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some spice. But I guess I enjoy spice in a romance when it’s the side story. Not the entire story. So for me, it needed more substance and death to equal out all the sex.

I wasn’t a fan of the narrators. The female voice always seemed frantic and overly breathy. The male voice was decent, but not when he tried to speak the female part.

Perfect cowboy romance

Love this! Read it if you’re missing the chestnut springs family! Female narrator is really good. Make is a bit gruff but I guess that works for the cowboy

I love this book and Angelina and Jack brought this story to life! So good and definitely recommend everyone to listen!!!

Cowboy take me away

There is nothing like a good cowboy romance and this is definitely that. Though, if you ask our MMC, he’s “not a cowboy.” Well, this “not a cowboy” cowboy is so swoon-worthy in every way. After suffering through a dangerous marriage, Cecily is on the run and takes a job on a ranch hours from home. The grumpy, closed off rancher was not excited about the city girl’s arrival and tries to run her off repeatedly. Our girl is no quitter though and finds her place among the ranch staff.

Working closely together, these two feel drawn to each other in ways neither of them are ready for. Through time, kindness, and patience, Austin shows Cecily that she can trust him to keep her safe. Once they finally give in, this book really steams up. You have to love a cowboy with a filthy mouth.

This book has found family, a broody cowboy, a woman finding her strength, some amazing spice, and a whole lot of heart. An absolute must read!
