Perfect for fans of Angie Thomas and Jason Reynolds, this highly anticipated sequel to Lambda Literary Award finalist Pritty finds Jay and Leroy togetha again as they fight to save not only their home but themselves from the powerful Bainbridge family’s treacherous endgame to retake Savannah for themselves, no matter the cost.

After finally reuniting, Jay and Leroy have never been in more danger. Caught in the crosshairs of the affluent Bainbridge family, who they’ve learned is determined to reshape Savannah in their own image, the duo has only just survived a series of near-death experiences before reaching the safety of the Black Diamonds. But the BDs’ ability to protect the Black neighborhoods of their city is slipping….

Missing the key piece of evidence that could have broken the Bainbridges’ hold over Savannah, everyone is scrambling for options. But when one of their own is kidnapped, Jay and Leroy realize they can’t rely on anyone but themselves to save them. Recruiting old friends, former enemies, and their most risky ally, Jay’s once-upon-a-time crush, Will, they set out to do the impossible: find the evidence they lost in order to finally expose the Bainbridges’ corruption to the world, by any means necessary.

But even as their plans bring them closer to revealing the Bainbridges’ treacherous endgame, Jay and Leroy’s own secrets from each other threaten to pull their love apart, just as old feelings between Jay and Will begin to blossom again. And as the battle for a brighter future boils over into the streets, to save their homes—and everyone they love—Jay, Leroy, and Will must decide: When the cost of justice might be each of their happiness, will they be able to make the sacrifice togetha?

TOGETHA picks up where PRITTY left off in a way that I absolutely needed! I really want to know about what these parents where into. I feel like there's still more to this story and I'm hoping for more!

I NEED TO KNOW MORE!

I just finished reading "Pritty" and "Togetha," and I had to reach out to say how much I loved them! As a member of the Black/Queer community, I was especially touched by the authenticity and positivity you brought to the stories. The inclusivity and positive role models you've created really stood out to me. Thank you for sharing such amazing and representative stories.

Both this sequel and the first book, Pritty, are two of the most enjoyable audiobooks I have ever listened to. Despite being totally wrapped up in the story, my mind would take a break about every 10 minutes or so to give way to the thought, "Wow, this is really beautiful writing." But there was so much more than great writing. Start with the characters. About midway through this second book I realized I was going to have to say goodbye to them in another five hours or so, and that doing so was going to hurt. They felt like friends. They showed extraordinary amounts of vulnerability. They sacrificed to help their friends, relatives and neighbors through their struggles. They fell in love and went through heartbreak. They kept choosing honesty, and they kept growing. And as they discovered new feelings and emotions, they also had to unravel a citywide conspiracy against them so as to not be defeated by it. So many stories weaved themselves together so flawlessly that my mind's eye drew a mental image so real I had to keep reminding myself I was only a spectator. Now let's talk about the setting. We're in a Black community of Savannah, Georgia, a place this old white dude has never and could never experience. Except I felt transported by this book. I was able to feel life through the fears and aspirations of the members of this fictional community. And I loved it. Let's finish up with the voice actors, because as brilliant as the writing was, the narrators were pitch perfect, bringing the characters alive with nuance, inflection, emotion. That vulnerability? They made it feel real. There's no way listening to an audiobook should be such an amazing experience. But calling Together an amazing experience actually undersells it.
