Don’t waste your time

The AI voice and stilted conversations are so boring I stopped before finishing. The author has no sense of how to construct a conversation that draws you in.

Did not finish. Story ok but really did not like the narrator/machine. Please use real people who can give expression to the narrative. yucky listening to

Too much filler

These novels lack substance to the plot. Absolutely too much chit chat that adds nothing to the mystery. I've had a hard time listening waiting for something to happen. While very clean, I would not use a credit for again.

Not worth my time

The writing was heavy with inconsequential conversation that made it seem like the writer had to use a prescribed number of words. That, along with the main character who wasn't written well made me not care to finish this series. The unnatural reading emphasizes the awkward conversations.

Virtual narrations are awful!

Please stop using virtual narrations!!! it’s like Nails on a chalkboard.
How can you tell if you like the book or not when the virtual narrations are so DEAD sounding. Save the virtual for chats when your problem solving or asking for a description, but to have them read an entire book totally killed every book I tried to listen to. I am a huge audiobook enthusiast for MANY years Dating back to cassette tapes and CDs and I have never given up listening to one because it was so painful. I love to listen to audiobooks at different times of the day, during different things that I’m doing.
I actually look forward to going to sleep at night & put on my favorite audiobook. I listen as I wind down during the shower then set the timer for 15 minutes and I fade away. The virtual narration has actually kept me up at night and I’ve had to rewind it a plethora of times. Just trying to get a grip on where I was in the book. I’ve never been so upset about a decision to not use real actors. oh my God please don’t kill the audiobook by trying to save a buck. might’ve felt like a good idea at the time but it’s 100% not working!!!!!!!!!!
