Welcome to Cider Cove, Maine—where the coffee is hot, the gossip is hotter, and murder always checks in.

It's so cozy it's criminal! Includes RECIPE!

A laugh out loud cozy mystery by New York Times, USA TODAY, & Wall Street Journal bestseller Addison Moore and her partner in cozy crime, USA TODAY bestseller Bellamy Bloom.

Cosmopolitan Magazine calls Addison's books, "...easy, frothy fun!" Country Cottage Mysteries is a USA TODAY bestselling series!

Hi, I’m Bizzy Baker, and I have a confession to make.

I can read minds. Not every mind, not every time, but enough to know that my kitten thinks your dog is plotting world domination, and that the hot detective who just moved in next door has some very interesting thoughts about my eyes. (Yes, Detective Wilder, I heard that.)

Running the Country Cottage Inn in Cider Cove, Maine was supposed to be simple—serve coffee, manage bookings, try not to burn down the kitchen with my “creative” baking experiments. But then someone had to go and die at our farewell-to-summer bonfire, and suddenly I’m knee-deep in a murder investigation with:

☕ One cute kitten named Fish who judges everyone (especially dogs)
☕ One adorable mutt named Sherlock Bones who's convinced Fish is his new best friend and chew toy
☕ One infuriatingly handsome homicide detective who threatens to arrest me every other day
☕ Way too many suspects who all think they're getting away with murder

Between dodging Detective Wilder’s handcuffs (not in the fun way), mediating the Fish vs. Sherlock turf war, and trying to keep my mind-reading abilities secret, I’m determined to catch a killer. Because in a town where everyone has secrets—and I can literally hear them thinking about them—someone is bound to slip up.

Just don’t tell anyone about the mind-reading thing, okay? The last thing I need is to end up as some government lab experiment. I look terrible in hospital gowns.

Welcome to Cider Cove, where the apple cider is hot, the ocean is cold, and murder is definitely on the menu.

Bizzy Baker runs the Country Cottage Inn, has the ability to pry into the darkest recesses of both the human and animal mind, and has just stumbled upon a body. With the help of her kitten, Fish, a mutt named Sherlock Bones and an ornery yet dangerously good looking homicide detective, Bizzy is determined to find the killer.

The Country Cottage Inn is known for its hospitality. Leaving can be murder.

I think I liked the storyline but the narrating made it hard to follow and get into. Missing expressions and hard to decipher what characters were "talking". It made me get confused about which character was which.

AI ruined it for me

It is a very Cute story but virtual voice did not do it justice; especially with “mind reading”

A cute story with an unexpected villain and ending. I loved the cat and dog pets. As the first book in a series, you have to expect lots of characters. Unfortunately there were so many that it was often hard to keep everyone straight.

This is the second audiobook that I've listened to with computer generated narration. My first experience was so bad that I couldn't listen beyond the third chapter. This book was better and I was able to finish it. However the narration left much to be desired. I'm glad it was free as part of my subscription. Good story though.
