I was excited about this one so I got to it on launch day and was, at first, disappointed that it was an AI reading. I still gave it a shot though and actually wasn't disappointed, though there are some hiccups here and there. It helps that the voice sounds like Sarah Connor and the story itself really is well done and fills in the gap between films 1 & 2 rather perfectly imo; the interludes were also fascinating and the time jumps in the story really worked well but you do have to be paying attention so as to not get lost.
Overall I definitely recommend it to any fan wanting more, the future parts were especially satisfying.

This particular book, read by a standard AI voice actually enhanced this story. It is like casting Skynet as the narrator, and the omniscient narrator is observing everything with the benefit of hindsight. I imagine a T-100 reading the story in a comfy chair and a side table fashioned out of human femurs and skulls, telling the tale to the last captives of the human race before turning the gas on to send humanity to extinction just after finishing the last novelization of the last movie in the series.

2 & 1/2 hours from the end I had to stop listening because I felt my heart beating out of my chest, hand tremors, and an overwhealing sense of impending doom. 10/10.

I liked how it brought together T1 T2 and the Sarah Connor t. v. show all together with new plot lines. Really enjoyed it. And A. I. reading it sounded like the right choice!

cool story, fills in some gaps artfully

Terminator+1 by Mark sondrini
Overall story was well written with it taking place in A variety of settings. Which works out well for both new comers to the Terminator Series & Longtime fans. Fans of the film will apreciate the Main plots focus on Sarah Connors journey taking place from the end of the 1st film into right before the 2nd. The novel does A nice job of fleshing out John & Sarah A bit more. Revisiting the films is A treat after reading the book. You feel more conected to the characters. The sub plot explores the future POV of the war with skynete using the 1st 3 films & A base for building up to the original mission to protect sarah. The Dr. Silverman arc was okay. Nothing to critical for me there was too much focus on him but it doesn't hurt the story. If your A fan of the films or just science fiction in general I recommend this tittle.
