Many people are enamored with prophets because of their outward mountaintop experiences, such as Elijah on Mount Carmel, but they are usually oblivious to the numerous and oftentimes private trials prophets endure. A pastor’s wife is usually called “First Lady” but a prophet or prophetess’ spouse is referred to as a “Prayer Warrior”. A pastor’s wife is comparable to a boxer’s spouse who never has to enter into the ring to fight with his or her spouse, but, on the contrary, a prophet’s spouse will have to get into the ring with the prophet because he or she will have to actively participate in spiritual warfare. So, You Want to Marry a Prophet… ARE YOU CRAZY? is a warning label for those who want to marry and stay married to a prophet. It is also a training manual for those whom the Lord has called to marry or has already married a prophet. There is also a special chapter for relationships between two prophets because sometimes being a power couple may result in a power struggle. So, do you really want to marry a prophet?
