A strange cry for help distracts Daniel from his boring study session. Curiosity gets the better of him, and he is thrust through a portal where he emerges into a fantasy world of myth, magic, dragons and war.

His arrival grants him a special opportunity. After stumbling upon a dying dragon, he discovers an egg that is about to hatch. Daniel knows a grand adventure awaits him, and he seizes the moment to become a dragon rider.

Fame, fortune, lust, and glory await Daniel. But they come at a steep cost. Dark forces are gathering, and they want Daniel dead.

But Daniel is not alone. The Wild Dragon Rider will be joined by his Firebound—an assortment of lovely female dragon riders who can help Daniel turn the tide of the war. Assuming he survives long enough to make a difference!

This is a wild ride from start to finish. It starts a little slow but winds up becoming a book you can't put down. This story is badass and I'm hoping for more continuations of this series.

Definitely a worth while read, dragons are always a good start in a story but this one seem like it has all the elements of an epic fantasy aswell, political intrigue, an evil nation of dark elves and epic magic.

What an awesome new series

The story started a little slow, but it quickly blossomed into a nice adventure story. There was a good amount of progression in an easy way to understand, especially listening to it in an audio format. The narrators did a nice job and they conveyed real emotion to the characters. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Good story, good narration

Better than I expected.

The story could have been so good, I really tried to like it but the MC was just so weak, whiny, and literally never progressed or got any better. It was very frustrating listening to the how pathetic the MC thought and acted it never got any better know matter how far he supposedly progressed, he never changed or showed any growth and it was really disappointing due to the potential the story had.

A lot of potential but fell unfortunately flat, MC really disappoints.
