Book 3 only: Awful Narration

The narration makes Grant’s writing seem boring and confusing, rather than her reliably witty, surprising, engaging, well-paced books. Savannah Peachwood reads like she’s trying to seduce even while she’s describing a coffee drink or setting up a practical joke. So when she gets to a make out session, it’s like she’s bored. Similarly, Wen Ross is flat and petulant, with none of the curiosity or surprise Grant’s male characters have as they discover their feelings.
Grant’s books are truly energizing and uplifting. They have good pacing with well-executed drama AND comedy—like, pee-in-your-pants funny!
But I’ve listened for almost two hours, hoping it will pick up. But even scenes that I think should be funny come off as if the person trying to be seductive, is bored, or even a little snobby.
I would return it, but I bought the set. And I feel passionate enough to write a review even though it shows up for the whole Copper Valley Fireballs series and not just this book.

The Copper Mountain Fireballs

It was a fun baseball related romance. Several of the Fireball players and their girlfriends fell in love and got married. I loved the parts where the Pirate Grandpa and his parrot were involved. A good giggle. I really enjoyed listening to the stories. Thanks Pipa Grant.

a bit too sexually graphic tone down to leave to the imagination. enhance story with more self realization and discovery for all characters

very funny, great storyline, and hot hot hot steamy romance. Thanks Pippa for again providing a great series.
